There are five main lakes to visit but Longponga Tso, Taujung Tso, and Gokyo Tso are the most beautiful lakes around the area. There is one most popular viewpoint called “Gokyo Ri” to view Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu which are eight thousander mountains.
The trek begins with a short Mountain flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, and you will trek to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is the gateway to Everest Region trekking as well as it is the capital town of Sherpa people. From Namche, the trail is split from the Classic Everest Base Camp trekking trail to Gokyo Lakes through the villages of Dole, Machhermo.
