Nepal Trekking Permits Fees

Trekking permits are necessary for all trekkers to trek in Nepal Himalayas. The permits are varying depending on the specific trekking region you plan to trek. All trekking permits are aimed at regulating tourism, ensuring safety, and contributing to conservation efforts in these areas. It's essential to obtain the necessary permits through authorized agencies and some from  the Department of Immigration in Nepal before starting your trek.

 Some regions require national park entrance fees, while others require conservation area entrance fees. Some regions also have local village entrance fees. Additionally, certain regions require special permits, such as those for Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Upper Mustang, Upper Dolpo, and Limi Valley, among others.

Some of the popular trekking Regions like Everest, Annapurna and Langtang have designated permits that trekkers need to obtain.

For example:

Annapurna Region: Trekking permits such as the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) card are usually required.
Everest Region: Trekkers typically need a Sagarmatha National Park entry permit and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Gaupalika entrance permit.
Langtang Region: The Langtang National Park entry permit and TIMS card are generally necessary.

Restricted Regions

Restricted areas are required Special permits and you have needed to travel with a licensed guide. These permits are issued by local trekking agencies through the immigration of Government authorities. 

A trekking permit is a must to travel to controlled areas mentioned below. Permit, however, is issued only to groups. Individual trekkers will not be issued trekking permit. all these trekking Permit must be obtained from the Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan, Kathmandu.
