You will also have time to organize and pack your riding gear, check your equipment, and purchase any missing items in Thamel, Kathmandu's popular shopping area for trekking and motorbike gear.

Meanwhile, our team will collect your Chinese Group Visa from the Chinese Visa Application Center and complete all remaining travel formalities.

Today marks the beginning of your Kathmandu to Lhasa Motorbike Tour via North Everest Base Camp. After breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu, all riders prepare their motorbikes and set off on this exciting Himalayan adventure.

The journey follows the Prithvi Highway to Galchi, where the route turns north toward Nuwakot District. From there, you continue along the Trishuli Valley, passing through Dhunche before arriving at Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Nepal–Tibet border.

Although the distance is only 125 kilometers, the ride typically takes 6–8 hours due to the winding mountain roads, changing road conditions, and several scenic stops along the way. The route offers beautiful views of hills, rivers, traditional villages, terraced farmland, and the surrounding Himalayan landscapes, making it an enjoyable introduction to the adventure ahead.

Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, you can relax, prepare for the border crossing the following day, and spend the night at a local hotel.

After breakfast at your guesthouse in Syabrubesi, all riders begin the journey to the Rasuwagadhi–Kerung (Nepal–Tibet/China) Border. The ride to the border is approximately 18 km and takes about 1 hour, following a scenic mountain road.

Upon arrival at the border, you will complete the necessary immigration and customs formalities, including exiting Nepal and entering Tibet (China). After all visa and border procedures have been completed, the journey continues to Kerung, which is approximately 24 km from the border and takes about 1 hour to reach.

After arriving in Kerung, you will check in to your hotel and have time to relax. If time permits, you can explore the local town of Kerung or take a short walk to help your body acclimatize to the higher altitude before continuing the journey deeper into Tibet.

After breakfast at your hotel in Kerung, all riders begin today's journey toward Tingri. From this point onward, the real adventure of the Kathmandu to Lhasa Motorbike Tour begins as you ride across the vast Tibetan Plateau, covering long distances at high elevations and crossing mountain passes above 5,000 meters.

Today's ride offers spectacular views of the Tibetan landscape, including snow-capped Himalayan peaks, high mountain passes, alpine lakes, wide-open valleys, and winding rivers. The well-paved roads and breathtaking scenery make this one of the most enjoyable riding days of the tour.

Upon arrival in Tingri, you will check in to your hotel and have time to explore the local town. Walking around Tingri provides an excellent opportunity to experience the traditional Tibetan lifestyle, culture, and hospitality while continuing to acclimatize to the higher altitude before the next stage of the journey.

After breakfast at your hotel in Tingri, the journey continues to Rongbuk Monastery (4,980 m), the highest monastery in the world. The ride passes through the spectacular Tibetan countryside, with winding roads, high mountain passes, and breathtaking views of the Himalayan range.

The total riding distance for the day is approximately 185 km, and it takes around 6–8 hours, depending on road conditions and the group's riding pace.

Upon arrival at Rongbuk Monastery, you will have time to explore this remarkable monastery and enjoy magnificent close-up views of Mount Everest (Qomolangma) from the Tibetan side.

Everest Base Camp (Qomolangma Base Camp) is located approximately 8.5 km beyond Rongbuk Monastery. Private vehicles and motorbikes are not permitted to travel to the base camp due to Chinese government regulations. Travelers who wish to visit Everest Base Camp can take the official eco-friendly shuttle bus, which operates from the designated parking area. The shuttle bus takes visitors close to the Everest Base Camp viewpoint, from where a short walk leads to the viewing area.

After enjoying the unforgettable scenery of Mount Everest and visiting Rongbuk Monastery, you will ride back to Xegar (New Tingri) for an overnight stay, preparing for the next stage of your adventure across Tibet.

After breakfast at your hotel in Xegar (New Tingri), you will continue your motorbike journey toward Shigatse, the second-largest city in Tibet. Along the way, you will cross the spectacular Gyatso La Pass (5,248 m), one of the highest points on the journey, before continuing through picturesque valleys, traditional Tibetan villages, and dramatic landscapes.

Upon arrival in Shigatse, you will check in to your hotel and have time to explore the city. The monastery is renowned for its magnificent architecture, rich Buddhist heritage, and impressive golden Maitreya Buddha statue.

Today is a shorter and more relaxed riding day as you travel from Shigatse to Gyantse, covering approximately 95 km in around 3–4 hours.

After breakfast at your hotel in Shigatse, you will visit the famous Tashilhunpo Monastery, the traditional monastery of the Panchen Lama and one of the most important Buddhist sites in Tibet. After the sightseeing tour, you will continue your motorbike journey toward Gyantse.

The road to Gyantse is smooth, well-paved, and relatively easy to ride, passing through beautiful Tibetan farmland, open valleys, and scenic landscapes. Along the way, you can enjoy the peaceful countryside and stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Upon arrival in Gyantse, you will check in to your hotel and have time to refresh and relax. Later, you will explore the historic Kumbum Stupa (Kumbum Chorten), Pelkor Monastery, and the local town of Gyantse, experiencing the unique Tibetan culture, architecture, and traditional lifestyle.

Today is a full extra day dedicated to exploring the historic and cultural highlights of Lhasa City. After breakfast at your hotel, you will begin the sightseeing tour with a Tibetan (Chinese) guide and a private vehicle.

You will visit some of the most famous attractions in Lhasa, including important Buddhist monasteries such as Sera Monastery and Norbulingka, Potala palace as well as the sacred Jokhang Temple, one of the most significant religious sites in Tibet. During the tour, you will discover the rich Tibetan culture, ancient traditions, and fascinating history of this remarkable city.

After visiting the main attractions, you will have free time to explore the local markets, shop for souvenirs, or experience the unique atmosphere of Lhasa. Finally, you will return to your hotel to relax and prepare for the next stage of your journey.

After exploring Lhasa, the Kathmandu to Lhasa Motorbike Tour begins its return journey. Following breakfast at your hotel in Lhasa, you will start the ride back toward Shigatse along the scenic Friendship Highway.

The total riding distance from Lhasa to Shigatse is approximately 263 km, and the journey takes around 3–5 hours, depending on road conditions, weather, and the riding pace of the group. This is a relaxed and enjoyable riding day, allowing you plenty of time to stop at interesting viewpoints, capture photographs, and appreciate the breathtaking Tibetan landscapes.

After breakfast at your hotel in Shigatse, you will begin your return ride toward Tingri following the same scenic route that you traveled earlier from Tingri to Shigatse.

Although this is a familiar road, you will have the opportunity to enjoy different perspectives and discover landscapes that you may have missed during the previous ride. The route offers beautiful views of the Tibetan Plateau, mountain scenery, and traditional villages along the way.

The total riding distance from Shigatse to Tingri is approximately 255 km, and the journey takes around 5–7 hours, depending on road conditions, weather, and the group's riding pace.

Feel free to stop at scenic viewpoints or places that catch your attention for photography and short breaks. Take time to relax, stretch your body, and enjoy the incredible Himalayan riding experience before continuing to Tingri for an overnight stay.

Today, you will ride back to Kerung along the same scenic route that you previously traveled after entering Tibet to day second. This is your final riding day on the Tibetan Plateau, offering a chance to say goodbye to the magnificent landscapes, mountains, and unique scenery of Tibet before crossing back into Nepal.

Since you are familiar with this route, you can enjoy a more relaxed ride and stop whenever you wish for rest breaks, stretching, photography, or to revisit any viewpoints you may have missed on the way to Tibet.

Upon arrival in Kerung, you will check in to your hotel and have time to relax and refresh. In the evening, enjoy your final dinner in Tibet with your Tibetan guide and prepare for the next day's border crossing back to Nepal.

Today marks the final riding day of your Kathmandu to Lhasa Motorbike Tour. After breakfast at your hotel in Kerung, you will begin your journey back to Kathmandu.

At the Rasuwagadhi–Kerung Border, you will complete the necessary exit and entry immigration formalities for leaving Tibet and re-entering Nepal. After completing the border procedures, you will officially enter Nepal and continue riding along the same scenic mountain road back toward Kathmandu.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will check in to your hotel, refresh, and take time to relax after completing this incredible Himalayan motorbike adventure. Today is your final day in Nepal. According to your flight schedule, one of our staff members will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.
